More about us ...

Tsauchab River Camp is located in the beautiful Namibian desert and offers a unique and unforgettable experience for nature lovers. Nestled in the Tsaris Mountains, the farm is surrounded by scenic landscapes, abundant wildlife and a rich history.

The farm was previously a Karakul farm, and is now owned by the  Namibian couple Johan and Nickey Steyn. It was inaugurated on 16 December 1999 on the farm Urikos, which is 7127 hectares and surrounded by Tsaris, Naukluft and Roter Kamm mountains. Maybe nature was the same reason why the two-well known German Geologists Henno Martin and Herman Korn used the farm as a base camp to do their research in the area.

At Tsauchab Guest Farm, guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert while taking part in activities such as hiking, mountain biking, sundowners' viewpoint, 4x4 trail and bird watching. Our Guest farm strives to look after our guests and therefore you can drink a nice cold beer at the restaurant, or buy anything you need at our farm shop and we also have a tyre repair service!

We strive to create a homely touch and warm atmosphere. We cannot wait to meet you!
